New Balance 442 V2 Pro Wide (2E)
It has wide in the name, but is the New Balance 442 v2 Pro Wide good for wide feet?
Design and Construction:
The 442 V2 Pro is an elegant boot. It has a classic design, featuring a premium kangaroo leather upper which is noticeably soft and promises to mould to the foot over time, providing a personalized fit that enhances ball control and touch. The cushioning around the ankle and heel area adds an extra layer of comfort whilst also giving lockdown to the heel. The additional eyelets at the top of the lacing system are a nice addition and allow players to tie a "runner's loop" to get even more lockdown on the heel. Underneath, a no-nonsense nylon outsole with an eleven-stud configuration delivers exceptional traction, ensuring optimal performance in every game.
Suitability for wide feet:
The 442 v2 Pro Wide is specifically designed with wide feet in mind, and it shows. The boot felt wide in the right places, offering plenty of room across the toes and ball of the foot, providing a comfortable fit allowing for natural movement without feeling constrained. The traditional lacing system combined with a separated tongue also allows players to adjust the tightness of the boot. While, the soft premium kangaroo leather upper means that the material will stretch and mould to fit the forefoot.
This boot is one of the best options for players with wider feet. If you find it too wide for your feet, the Puma Future 7 Pro and Nike Tiempo Legend 10 Pro are less wide alternatives.
